Lawn insect pests – On the season of summer, this is one of the major problems that lawns do suffer. We can see those caterpillar that destroys the lawn that is known as the “Lawn army worm”. Where they usually attack the front part of the lawn like an army. They consume destructively the grass leaves thus, leaving a big brown patch on night time because during the day, they tend to hide under those falling leaves or any shed that could protect them from the sun.
Tip: You can trap them by putting a damp cardboard on the edge of the portion where they usually invade on night.

Black beetles – When you see a big dead patches of lawn and see birds grasping at the soil, this is the sign that the lawn is being attacked by an adult black beetles, their favorite food to munch is your grass leaves. Also, on their early stage,where they are called curl grubs, they have the habit of chewing the roots that will destroy your lawn and treating this kind of beetle is very hard.
Tip: Baythroid could be effective to prevent those beetles from your lawn. Another is pour a tub of water with soap into the lawn to flush out pests in the area.

Lawn Diseases – Tracing or distinguishing lawn diseases is very hard but having a round patch on your lawn is a sure sign of a disease being suffered by the lawn most of the fungal diseases could be usually determine in the morning. Also, avoid cutting your lawn very short during summer season.
Tip: You can treat this with a Mancozeb and feed it with a high nitrogen fertilizer. Water your lawn in the morning so it could dry fast.
