What does your turf color means?

turfNormally, turf color is green and we usually do wonder when it changes its color which also depends on the area and its condition. May it be a sign of a problem within it or any danger that should be given immediate attention.

Deep Green – This really do show a green effect on your lawn which imply a healthy growth. The darker it reflects, means that there is a lot of nitrogen,magnesium or iron in your turf.

Red – this means that your lawn might have a problem the amount of chlorophyll is less or might be suffering from a disease. This would alarm you to check on your turf so you would know what should be done.

Yellowing – This is a common color on the leaf unless when you can see any problem in it. It is always best to monitor your turf colors.

Orange – This color do imply that your lawn is suffering from a disease. It may be attacked by a fungi or rust. When this do occur in your lawn, take the necessary action to eliminate them for your lawn’s health.

Tan /Brown – This color in the grass blades shows dead spot. Usually there are some brown color on slight areas but if you see big areas turning tan or brown you must be alarmed.
